A Deer Park man was arrested and charged in an alleged drunken driving accident that resulted in the death of an elderly man in Brentwood Friday, police say.

According to authorities, 24-year-old Juan Collantes was driving westbound in the eastbound lane on Spur Drive at around 11:20 p.m. when he crashed into a car in which 98-year-old Joseph Capatosto, of Queens, was a passenger. Capatosto was rushed to Southside Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Capatosto's 62-year-old daughter was driving the car. Police say she was also hurt in the crash, but her injuries are not life threatening.
