A Center Moriches woman has been sentenced to five years of probation for driving under the influence of drugs and causing a crash that killed a college student.
Debra Pendzick pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and driving while impaired by prescription drugs.
She crashed into a car driven by 20-year-old Imran Rehman, a Suffolk County Community College student from Centereach, in May 2012.
Both Pendzick's and Rehman's family tell Newsday that they agree with the sentence.
