Death of high school football player Damon Janes sparks safety concerns

The death of an upstate high school football player is raising concerns about the safety risks of youth sports.

Damon Janes, a 16-year-old running back from western New York, died after a helmet-to-helmet hit during a game last Friday.

Wantagh Warriors Coach Keith Sachs says he spends a lot of time teaching his team how to tackle. He says he thinks the technology being used in helmets and other equipment is great, but says the players get bigger and stronger every year.
