State officials announced all ocean front state parks beaches are closed to swimmers due to dangerous rip currents on Saturday.

Swimming is off limits at all fields of Jones Beach, Robert Moses and Hither Hills in Montauk.

There is a high rip current advisory in effect as Hurricane Ernesto churns off the East Coast. Lifeguards say the currents are life-threatening right now.

The New York State Parks Department told News 12 there is no determination as to whether swimming will be off limits on Sunday.

That decision will be made in the morning.
