'Dancing With the Stars' alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy may be taking a break from reality television, but you don't have to take a break from him! News 12's Elisa DiStefano caught up with Chmerkovskiy to talk about his upcoming show, Sway, in Westbury and for a few dance tips.
Last season on the show Chmerkovskiy won the Mirror Ball trophy. Now he's taking a brief time out. "I try to stay busy, but this is the first time I am actually officially off," Chmerkovskiy says. "So, I am enjoying my off time."
But he won't be off for too long, as he gears up for a show called Sway: A Dance Trilogy at the Space. Joining him on the stage and dance floor will be his brother Val and dance pro Tony Dovolani. Also included in this run of Sway will be his Mirror Ball winning partner, Meryl Davis.
Sway will be at the Space from Wednesday, Dec. 17 through Sunday, Dec. 21. It is produced by Chmerkovskiy's Dance With Me Studios.
