As football fans root for Buffalo Bills' Safety Damar Hamlin full recovery, doctors say the care Hamlin got on the field Monday night not only saved his life but sent a positive take-home message about the importance of CPR.
"How important was CPR right away? Obviously, it was key. Basic life support, there's nothing wrong with our children being educated on how to give CPR, how teachers should be educated in schools, our coworkers. It makes us take pause and think maybe we should push more people to become CPR trained," said Nuvance Health Neurologist, Dr. Paul Wright.
