DA: North Amityville man indicted for selling fentanyl mixture ending in fatal overdose

The Suffolk DA says Omar Aitcheson said the substance was cocaine but was revealed to be a deadly cocktail of fentanyl and tramadol.

A North Amityville man is accused of selling a fentanyl mixture that resulted in three overdoses – one deadly.

The Suffolk district attorney says Omar Aitcheson said the substance was cocaine, but was revealed to be a deadly cocktail of fentanyl and tramadol.

The drug was sold to three Copiague men, who all experienced an overdose.

One of the men, a 32-year-old, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Aitcheson has been arraigned on multiple drug charges.

If convicted on the top count, he faces up to nine years in prison.
