Angry customers stormed a Floral Park dry cleaners Friday to claim their clothing.
The doors of Lil Jay Cleaners opened a week after the shop suddenly shut down due to the owner being evicted. Many customers with tickets got their clothing quickly. Others had to sort through racks of shirts, suits and dresses before resorting to digging through bins of dirty clothing.Chris Jackson, of Floral Park, said he gave his clothes to the owner a couple of days before the shop closed. "Never said a word of what was going on, just took money and disappeared. It's disgraceful." The landlord claims the owner never paid taxes or the rent for the past year and a half. News 12 Long Island was unable to get in contact with the store owner.Related Information
