Nassau County
Executive Laura Curran detailed a new plan for a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination
site that will open in Elmont.
“We want to
make sure that we're providing access to everyone while we're cognizant
of the fact that there is not enough supply, we want to make sure that we have
access for everyone who is eligible for this," says Curran.
Curran spoke from Elmont Memorial Junior-Senior High School outlining the
partnership with Northwell Health.
The pop-up
vaccination site will be open this Saturday.
The county
expects to vaccinate 1,000 people in the Elmont community.
The county
executive says they are also working on opening a pop-up site in Glen Cove.
