Bridgeport firefighters responded to two fires simultaneously Friday afternoon.
They both happened at 2 p.m.
One occurred at a three-family home on James Street.
Officials say it took just 35 minutes to put out the fire.
The Red Cross says they are helping to relocate three families made up of five adults and six children.
No one was injured.
The second fire took place at an auto repair shop on Boston Avenue.
Upon their arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from inside the three bay facility.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading and had it contained in under an hour.
No one was injured.
Following the fire, The Department of Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was on scene to coordinate a site cleanup, according to city officials.
