Long Island native Craig Biggio will officially go down as one of the greatest baseball players of all time when he is inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday.
Biggio is the first player who will enter the Hall of Fame as a Houston Astro.
Some items the Kings Park native donated to the Hall include his 1983 Hansen Award he received as Suffolk County football player of the year, a World Series ring, seven All-Star rings and the uniform he wore when he reached 3,000 hits.
Other members of this year's Hall of Fame class are former Met Pedro Martinez, former Atlanta Brave John Smoltz and pitcher Randy Johnson.
