(01/01/08) STONY BROOK ? New Year?s Day of 2008 is extra special for one Long Island couple as they are the proud parents of the year?s first baby on Long Island.
The baby girl was born at 12:01 a.m. at Stony Brook University Medical Center. Baby Keegan weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces. Father Erin Keegan and Mother Amanda Gonzalez are excited, if not a little surprised.
In addition to arriving earlier than her January 30 due date, sonogram pictures led doctors to believe Baby Keegan was actually going to be a boy. Now, her father has some returns to make.
?Everything we bought was for a boy,? says Keegan. ?I got him all sorts of boy?s clothes. Michael Jordan stuff, I can?t put her in any of it.?
