A Long Island couple celebrated over seven decades of marriage by renewing their vows in front of family and friends on Valentine's Day.

Morty and Alice Steinberg's romance first began at a Valentine's Day party in 1948. They got married three years later.

"That day I found her, that was it, I didn't look anymore," Morty says.

The two renewed their vows at Encore Luxury Living in Jericho.

After 72 years of marriage, Alice says love is the basis of their relationship and that they are best friends.

Morty and Alice have three children, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

All of their children have decadeslong marriages and tell News 12 they were inspired by their parents' love for each other.
