Start spreading the news, Restaurant Week is about to get underway in all five boroughs.

NYC Restaurant Week has been around since 1992, but if you are new to it, NYC Tourism says it is a way to get people to try different spots.

So, what is the cost of savings you could bite into? Checking the NYC Tourism website, restaurants will offer two-course lunches and three-course dinners, coming in at $30, $45 or $60.

To really show the savings, News 12 zeros in on a spot in Brooklyn, French Louie, that is taking part. For Restaurant Week, it will be offering a $45 dinner option. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert for that price. If you were to pick the smoked paprika prawns, which are normally $19, the roasted hake, which is normally $36, and the bananas foster ,which is normally $14, that would be a total price tag of $69, but you pay just $45 during Restaurant Week. That's a savings of $24.

The deals for NYC Restaurant Week start July 21 and last until Aug. 17. Click here to find restaurants participating
