Nassau County officials put their cooking skills to the test for a good cause ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
They competed in the Corned Beef Cook-Off at the Millridge Inn in Jericho to raise money for 1-year-old Cooper Graham, who is recovering from treatment for a rare cancer.
His father, Michael Graham, says his son is battling retinoblastoma, which starts in the brain and the eyes.
"Unfortunately for Cooper, it's gone into his body," Michael Graham says. "He is battling tough, he's got a long road ahead, but every day is a blessing for us."
The money raised from the cook-off will go to the
Coop Strong Foundation to help other families battling the same disease.
