News 12 has confirmed that the village of Lake Grove has granted most of the approvals it needs in order to begin construction in 2023.
The grocery chain will be located in the DSW Plaza at Lake Grove, which is at the corner of Middle Country Road and Moriches Road.
Wegmans will build its store where Toys R Us and Babies R Us once were.
An Ashley's Furniture will also be torn down and moved to another space in the shopping center.
