A congressional committee is going to be investigating if the Long Island Rail Road is still vulnerable to disability scams.
The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform plans to sift through public documents and emails, according to Newsday.
As News 12 has reported, 33 defendants have been convicted of defrauding the disability program.
An investigation in 2011 found nearly 100 percent of railroad workers who applied for disability received it. About 96 percent of disability applications were still being approved last year.
