Commuters sounded off Wednesday on proposed LIRR fare hikes.
The MTA is proposing raising ticket prices 8 percent over the next four years. Fares will go up 4 percent in March and another 4 percent in March of 2017 if the plan is approved.
A public hearing over the proposed hike was held at the Hilton Hotel in Melville.
Anyone unable to attend the meeting can record their comments to be reviewed by the MTA board. Cameras will be set up at the Hicksville train station next Tuesday from 6-10 a.m.
