889ds agoSome New York legislators have begun reading copies of a report that delves into allegations against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Members of the Assembly Judiciary Committee have until Friday to look at the report compiled by independent law firm David, Polk and Wardell.
Glen Cove Committee Chair Charles Lavine promised that the report would be released "soon."
Before the report is made public, Cuomo and his lawyers are asking to see it and the evidence used to draft the document.
"We are also going to ask the assembly to look at the draft report before it's made public and to comment on it," says attorney Rita Glavin. "And the reason is we don't want to see a report end up the way the Aug. 3, 2021 report ended up with the omissions and errors."
Glavin is also calling on New York Attorney General Letitia James to recuse herself from all investigations involving former governor as she plans her own run for governor.
