Colonial Williamsburg is facing backlash over a Super Bowl ad that showed the collapse of the Twin Towers.
Jennifer McNamara from Blue Point says she understands and liked the concept of the ad but that the video of the towers was just too much.
McNamara's husband, John, was a member of the FDNY who died in 2009 from 9/11-related cancer. He left behind a wife and son.
"We had one of those nights where he cried, told me how much he missed his dad, and I have no doubt in my mind it was brought on by seeing that," says McNamara.
A spokesman for Colonial Williamsburg issued an official statement this afternoon citing the ad was meant to challenge viewers.
