Heavy rain, potentially damaging wind may hamper holiday travel this week

WHAT'S NEW: The potential for a large storm to come our way is still in the cards for us for Thursday PM and Friday with rain and wind being the main concern; which will likely impact travel plans for those leaving Friday evening especially. After that, we get COLD for the Christmas weekend.
WHAT'S NEXT: The last few days of Autumn will be cold but dry and mostly sunny. Winter arrives Wednesday afternoon.

OVERNIGHT: Breezy winds from time to time with mostly clear skies. Avg. Low: 29. Lows: upper 20s.
TUESDAY: A few passing clouds with less wind around. Avg. high: 43. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: mid 20s.
WEDNESDAY: First Day of Winter (Winter begins at 4:47 PM) – Partly cloudy with a cold breeze. Highs: upper 30s to low 40s. Lows: upper 20s to low 30s.
THURSDAY: Weather To Watch - Mostly cloudy with a chance rain showers for the afternoon/evening hours with temps slowly rising. Highs: upper 40s to low 50s. Lows: mid 40s.
FRIDAY: Weather To Watch – Rainy & windy (and mild temps) with a brief change over to a wintry mix and then snow for the afternoon/evening hours (as temps drop). Highs: upper 50s. Lows: low 20s.
