The U.S. agency that enforces workplace civil rights is suing Coca‑Cola Beverages Northeast.

The lawsuit cites a company‑sponsored event at Mohegan Sun Casino Resort in 2024. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleges the regional bottler discriminated against male employees by inviting only women to the event.

Coca‑Cola Northeast described the gathering as its first in‑person Women’s Forum. The lawsuit said the company paid for lodging, meals and other benefits for attendees and continued paying their salaries while excusing them from regular work duties.

Coca‑Cola Northeast said the event fully complied with existing EEOC regulations.
