News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says it will be cloudy Tuesday with a chance for a few showers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Mostly cloudy and muggy the next two days with the chance of a brief passing shower. The best chance for showers will be Wednesday afternoon before our weather clears for the upcoming holiday weekend.
THE TROPICS: Hurricane Franklin passes southeast of Long Island bringing a high risk of rip currents for the rest of the week and increasing waves by Wednesday. There is also the potential for some beach erosion and minor coastal flooding at high tide, especially southwestern Nassau County bay areas.
