Cleanup efforts were underway across Long Island Saturday as crews dealt with the mess left behind by the nor'easter.
The storm's fierce winds Friday toppled trees and utility poles, and wrought other damage across the Island.
A telephone pole come crashing down at the corner of Bellmore and Merrick avenues in East Meadow.
In Freeport, whipping winds on the Nautical Mile ripped down an awning sign at Bracco's restaurant.
And the winds also tore down highway signs and toppled trees, on the Meadowbrook Parkway near the Southern State Parkway.
News 12 meteorologists say wind speeds upward of 70 mph were recorded on Long Island during the storm.
