Two swimmers were pulled from the waters off Long Beach Friday afternoon, city officials say.

News 12 is told that both swimmers were in distress and treated at the scene by EMS.

The swimmers are both expected to be OK.

There were no lifeguards on duty in Long Beach at the time.

The rescue comes after the city shut down swimming at Ocean Beach Park Friday afternoon because of rough surf.
