A Ronkonkoma family says their holiday decorations were vandalized by a holiday grinch.
Robert Cassese Jr. says that an unknown vandal drove up to his home over the weekend and slashed his blow-up Santa and blow-up Frosty the Snowman. The incident was also caught on surveillance camera.
Cassese says he is not sure why his house was targeted. "I figure it's just drunk teenagers," he says.
Cassese brought his remaining decorations inside his home. He says he is considering not decorating his house for the holidays in the future.
Those who drive by Cassese's front yard will find a sign in Santa and Frosty's places. It is a note addressed to the "Christmas Slasher."
Suffolk County police are now investigating the case. The Casseses are offering $100 for any information that police deem useful in their investigation.
