Child and adult pedestrian injured in North Lindenhurst crash

Two pedestrians were injured following a crash in North Lindenhurst on Tuesday.

Suffolk County police say a 62-year-old woman from Amityville was traveling westbound on Spiegelhagen Street in a 2010 Chrysler Van when she turned left onto Wellwood Avenue and struck two people around 2:30 p.m.

The two pedestrians were an 8-year-old girl who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and a 20-year-old woman who also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. Both were transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital.

The 62-year-old driver was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 631-854-8152.
