Packages of Chewy Chips Ahoy are being voluntarily recalled.
The company that makes the cookies announced a limited voluntary recall of 13 ounce packages over what it calls an “unexpected ingredient.”
No additional details were given, but Mondelez International did say the mistake has led to "adverse health effects."
The recall covers cookies with best by dates of September 7, 8, 14 and 15.
People are warned not to eat them.
