If you're flying American to your holiday destination, heads up!
A total of 15,000 flights are currently without a pilot. The error is a result of a glitch in American Airlines’ scheduling system which gave too many pilots days off during the December holidays.
The airline is scrambling to get the flights covered by offering to pay 150 percent of the normal hourly wage.
Meanwhile, more layoffs are hitting the media industry. Buzzfeed is getting rid of about 100 jobs after a significant revenue miss this year, which is an 8 percent reduction to staff.
ESPN also announced it is laying off 150 workers, on top of massive layoffs in April, which included many on-air personalities.
Lastly, the LA Auto Show is all about SUVs, as gas prices remain relatively low and the U.S. economy is strong. Automakers are showing off numerous models, many are more fuel efficient than the gas guzzlers of previous years.
