All charges have been dropped against a Suffolk man accused of taking pictures of an 8-year-old boy inside a bathroom stall.
Officials dropped the charges due to a lack of evidence.
Luis Flores Jr., of Dix Hills, was arrested after police said he took a photo of a boy at the Hibachi Grill, located at 1114 Deer Park Ave., on May 17.
Prosecutors say an analysis of his phone shows he did not take any explicit photos and did not delete any pictures off of his phone. They also say he was texting at the exact moment he was accused of taking the picture.
Following his arrest, Flores lost his job as a teacher at the Branford Institute in Amityville. He also left the state after receiving death threats.
"This is really severe, so hurtful," Flores told News 12. "It hurt me. It hurt my family."
Flores says he hopes to resume his computer teaching career. He declined to say whether he plans to sue the county over his arrest.
Suffolk police refused to comment on the case.
