A Central Islip man is facing charges for setting fire to the home he lived in with at least 13 other people.
According to police, investigators discovered flares inside the 69 Plumb Street home that burst into flames Tuesday. They say Rudis Bonilla will be arraigned Wednesday for the blaze.
The residents were left homeless, but escaped without serious injury, including a woman who is nine-months pregnant. The Suffolk County Red Cross arranged for the residents to stay at a nearby hotel.
