2h agoA Centereach man faces up to 22 years in prison for a fatal Island Park hit-and-run that happened in July 2022.
Cory Henson, 32, was formally charged with manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident on Wednesday.
Police say Henson was headed south on Long Beach Road when he hit Dodanim Emanuel Chavez and then drove off.
The 30-year-old was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Henson is due back in court next month.
