The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there are 19 confirmed monkeypox cases in the state.
This follows the World Health Organization declaring the virus a global health emergency.
Monkeypox has now been reported in 70 countries.
The international spread is relatively new, with more than 16,000 cases worldwide and almost 3,000 in the United States.
