Police say a man from Levittown was killed by an alleged drunken driver on the LIE last night in Dix Hills.

The crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes.

Police say Carleton English, of Brentwood, was drunk when he slammed his SUV into a car driven by Henry Lapine, 50, of Levittown. Lapine died at the scene.

English is charged with driving drunk but the charges could be upgraded.
