The latest film in the "Star Wars" franchise hit theaters Thursday, and some young scientists in Brooklyn have been preparing for the day for months.
Bushwick science teacher Radames Torrelles brought in his childhood relics to help his students learn while honoring the movies.
Fourth-grader Damian Cortez says he and his classmates learned all about how to write code, including making their own R2-D2 and programming it.
The kids say that it's much easier to learn about science and technology when they can relate it to a fun movie.
