Brooklyn bagel shop known for rainbow bagels closes indefinitely

A popular Williamsburg bagel shop known for its multicolored bagels is closed, according to a staff announcement on Instagram.
The Bagel Store has been a staple in Brooklyn for two decades, opening three locations over the years. The store grew in popularity back in 2016 due to high demand of its famed brightly colored rainbow bagels. They were also known for making heart-shaped, colorful bagels for Valentine’s Day.
While the Instagram page does not go into detail about its closing, it reads “Thank you for loving us for all these years. Due to health concerns, we will be closed. Always choose happiness.”
The shop’s most recent Instagram post from just a few weeks ago stated that it was open at that time.
It's not clear what those health concerns are that lead to the closure of The Bagel Store shops.
