The Brookhaven Town Board voted Tuesday to ban backyard pool rentals unless they are rented along with the home.
The town board also voted to keep its ban on short-term home rentals in place. Stays booked through AirBnB and other similar companies cannot be shorter than 28 days, unless they are staying on Fire Island.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor-elect Dan Panico tells News 12 that the board is considering a measure to reduce the limit to 14 days.
