9ds agoThe Brookhaven Town Board voted Tuesday to ban backyard pool rentals unless they are rented along with the home.
The town board also voted to keep its ban on short-term home rentals in place. Stays booked through AirBnB and other similar companies cannot be shorter than 28 days, unless they are staying on Fire Island.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor-elect Dan Panico tells News 12 that the board is considering a measure to reduce the limit to 14 days.
