Officials say dozens of ambulance workers are on high alert after the Town of Brookhaven accidentally posted their Social Security numbers online.

The personal information of 78 ambulance workers was posted on the Brookhaven website for five days, according to Newsday.

The town says the legal department posted a resolution that accidentally included an attachment with Social Security numbers.

The numbers have since been taken down, and the town has hired a credit monitor.
