News 12 The Bronx has learned that not many residents know about a city tip line that allows residents to anonymously report illegal drug activity.
The borough president?s office says it spreads the word about the hotline through fliers given to local community boards and police precincts. However, some residents feel those efforts aren?t enough.
The borough president?s office claims to have received 75 anonymous calls this year. However, some residents say those numbers are too low for the amount of drug dealing in the area.
Anyone who wants to anonymously report drug activity should call the tip line at (718) 590-3551.
