Children who attend a Bronx preschool may not have a building to attend classes in next month.
Our Little Schoolhouse preschool is run out of the basement of the Calvary Lutheran Church. The directors say on Sunday they received a letter from the church council that the school had six days to vacate the building. The program directors add that the church is violating its contract with the school. No reason was given to the directors as to why they are being kicked out.
Directors say classes have no more than six children, which creates an intimate setting for learning. But, one director says she won?t be able to afford another place unless she expands the classes, which she feels isn?t fair to the children.
