The South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation has big plans for an area waterfront. 

For more than a year, SoBRO has been working on a plan to revitalize a track of land that runs along the Harlem River from 132nd to 150th streets.

The nonprofit agency's proposal includes a park, shops, residential housing and a pedestrian walkway that gives residents access to the Harlem River waterfront.

SoBRO says it will be conducting a second study on the area's infrastructure and how much the revitalization would cost.

Way towards the weekend and one day definitely better than the other. We got to let you know what's going to happen on Sunday because it's definitely going to impact things, maybe heading even into Monday. Hope, what are we looking at here? Yes, a lot of travel woes starting Sunday evening and lasting into Monday morning. So here's the travel timeline. As early as 9 a.m. on Sunday, we'll be dealing with some scattered showers and throughout the day, it is going to turn windy and even gusty 25 35 MPH after 8 p.m. through at least 4 a.m. on Monday, expect windswept downpours that can reduce visibility and also just bring some hazardous travel conditions with any of the flooding concerns that we have across the boroughs. Now Monday morning, around 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. we're still going to be dealing with some standing water. But thankfully, the rain is coming to an end. It is turning drier and colder with temperatures in the mid 40. So here's where we're starting our weekend, the sunshine and the chilly temperatures are with us on Saturday and then we'll be climbing into the mid fifties throughout the day, a blend of sun and clouds really gonna be a nice time to go outside and enjoy the conditions while we have its Sunday, excuse me, starts off dry and then we're seeing some scattered showers during the late morning, early afternoon and then it gradually begins to ramp up in intensity again, steady rainfall, moderate to heavy downpours will be possible even through the overnight. This is around 1 a.m. On Sunday night, we are seeing those temperatures crashing from the sixties to the forties and the rain doesn't even take us into early Monday morning. So your Monday morning commute will still be impacted by the storm and we will notice that chilly gusty wind throughout the day, highs will be in the mid forties and this is what's new. We actually have a slight risk for some scattered flash floods across portions of the city.

Saturday is the good day. Sunday is not. Sunday is going to be very rainy and windy. And the only good thing about Sunday are those temperatures well above normal and the taste of spring coming our way now with Sunday's rain, there's still a little bit of wiggle room on the exact timing of this. So be sure to stay with us throughout the day tomorrow for more updates. But we're talking about 2 to 3 inches of rain that spells flooding. Coastal flooding is possible during high tide and these winds coming through could gust up to about 50 miles an hour and that's strong enough to bring some power lines down or tree looms down and cause some issues. Of course, with those holiday decorations. So tomorrow is the prep day. It's nice and mild. You can get out, look around your yard, secure all those loose objects around your home and then Sunday going into Sunday, rather those clouds collect it dry. Saturday night, temperature are even milder here. Take a look at that extended forecast. So the storm watches up for Sunday night into Monday. Monday morning's commute if you're up before the sun rises. It could be impacted by that rain, but temperatures are going to fall during the day. On Monday, 58 occurs just after midnight, back down into the forties and the forties stick around throughout next week. And that's a look at your local forecast.

We're on storm watch for tomorrow, especially in the afternoon and the evening, we have two problems, heavy rain and gusty winds. There could be a few spots that briefly see 40 to 45 mile per hour winds which would bring the power out in a few neighborhoods mostly toward the lower Hudson Valley, Westchester County. That could be a problem and then also some localized flooding Sunday afternoon and especially in the overnight hours. So if you are planning on dinner time plans for Sunday, that will be a problem today, really pleasant at 10 o'clock or already close to 50 in Westchester County. And then we're in the mid fifties all afternoon. So it's actually a bit warmer than it was yesterday, but also a little bit on the cloudy side. If you have dinner plans at eight o'clock tonight, 36 in Newburgh, 3035 degrees in Middletown. So a little bit cool, but it warms up by Sunday morning. You're actually warmer in the morning time than you are in the evening tonight. We're expecting close to 40 for the upper Hudson Valley mid forties for the lower Hudson Valley temperature is definitely not the issue here. We will see some stray showers first thing in the morning tomorrow, but it becomes warm, widespread guaranteed in the afternoon. So you see that chance after brunch time really goes up quite a bit and there will be some heavy rain in the mix as well as well as wind. Now again, the wind is not a problem for the first half of Sunday, 2 p.m. Still not seeing any major wind, but there will be steady rain. Four o'clock, really steady rain here, it's a wash at this point, but the wind isn't a huge problem. 6 p.m. Winds starting to pick up a little bit. But look at this now, we're talking 20 to 30 mile per hour winds at nine o'clock. So some power outages are make sure you have a backup alarm clock. Sunday night for Monday mornings, wake up because look at the wind up to 30 MPH, that's kind of hard to sleep through. And although it's drying out on Monday with that wind shifting to the northwest, it is going to be still quite breezy on Monday. So a slight risk for scattered flash flooding. You're gonna want to watch out for underpasses roads, small streams and drains as well with all those leaves out there that could kind of clog up too. The rest of the week looks pretty quiet and dry. Once we get through Monday morning

All right, Alex call me here to tell us today is the day to everything. Yeah, because of the rain coming later on in the weekend. Enjoy today. Absolutely. I mean, you see the radars clear today's 56 peaks of sun, definitely some generous cloud cover, but 60 on Sunday is not going to feel so good. It's a soaker. We've got a train of rain coming in from the Gulf of Mexico and that's going to bring in warm air. Yes, but it's gonna bring a lot of wind too. And so we have two threats, flooding and wind tomorrow today. Come on. This is fantastic. We're in the thirties now with a little bit of frost but mid forties by 9 a.m. we're hitting 50 way before brunch time and we're in the fifties all day Sunday morning. Little different feel it's warmer but it's cloudy with a stray shower at 9 a.m. A big rain risk for brunch lunch plans on Sunday afternoon. We may see a few soakers and then plenty of rain. 234 o'clock in the afternoon. Look at this just on and off downpours all day. The wind starts to pick up after sunset, seven o'clock at night, it's warmer than the afternoon because the wind is coming in straight from the south 40 mile per hour wind here, this is 11 o'clock at night. Probably the worst of the wind is going to be somewhere between eight o'clock at night. And about five o'clock in the morning, we could see some localized flooding because look at how much rain we end up with 2 to 3 inches across the island. And then also the possibility of some overnight power outages. So you'll want to be prepared for that, maybe strap those Christmas decorations down today.

Right now, let's check in with storm watch team. Meteorologist Scott Skoff. How bad is what's coming our way? It's going to be widespread rain, heavy wind as well as just a lot of icky travel conditions. So if you have to do anything outside today is the day to do it. If you have to travel today is the day to do it because Sunday afternoon and evening, look at this, plenty of heavy rain coming across the region. So we are looking at a lot of rain and wind throughout the afternoon and evening tomorrow and then especially overnight into Monday, that's when we're going to see the worst of it. Luckily most of us are inside at that time. But then into your Monday morning gonna turn real gusty 30 to 45 MPH. Anchor down any of those holiday decorations. Watch out for flooding. Turn around. Don't drown the normal stuff that we deal with these strong coastal systems pushing in. Definitely just got to be safe out there. High temperatures today going to be in the fifties gonna be a beautiful second full day of Hanukkah, third night, later on this evening, it should be a beautiful sunset before the rain comes on. And this is the system that we're looking at coming our way as we are going to see widespread 1 to 3 inches of rain, potentially gusts anywhere from 20 to 40 MPH tomorrow evening into Monday. So definitely looks like some strong winds, but today definitely the day to do it anything really because it's gonna be beautiful. But then as we go into your Monday, we are looking at more rain coming on in starting Sunday morning, a few showers and from lunchtime into the afternoon and evening, real heavy rain coming through. So definitely be safe out there as we are going to be seeing those temperatures drop with that heavy rain and wind Sunday to Monday.
