Trains are running on or close to schedule after a broken rail near the Mineola train station stifled the morning commute both ways for riders on the Long Island Rail Road.
Chopper 12 was over the scene where only one of two tracks through Mineola and Merillon Avenue are in use.
There are were cancellations and delays on the Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson, and Oyster Bay lines.
