A Bridgeport man who founded an organization to help keep kids off the streets will make his national TV debut next week.
News 12 first spoke with Harry Bell 10 years ago at Trumbull Gardens in the North End of Bridgeport.
Bell is the creator of the nonprofit Color a Positive Thought, which aims to help kids stay in school and off the streets. Soon, he will get to share his cause with a national audience.
The TV show "Taraji,” hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson, flew Bell to Los Angeles for the appearance.
"Harry Bell reveals how gun violence is the new normal for many in the Black community,” Henson says.
Bell says he has a lot to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, including his beautiful family, a full-time job and more success than he ever imagined possible with Color a Positive Thought.
Bell’s interview will debut Monday on "Taraji."
