Neighbors in Brentwood came together Saturday during a Hope Day block party, organized by local churches in the community.
The event included services for those in need, including haircuts, groceries and clothing. It also featured games for kids and live entertainment.
"We wanted to make sure that we are hitting an area where it's most needed, an area where people could walk to and get the services that we're providing," said Bishop Edward Robinson, an event organizer.
Many Hope Day events are scheduled throughout the tristate area.
