Friday was a wild day of wet and windy weather on Long Island. Here are some of the strongest wind gusts.
While the wind is gradually subsiding overnight, there can still be additional scattered power outages. That said, the wind becomes far less of an issue into early Saturday morning although it will make lows in the 20s feel more like the teens! Bundle up!
Travel will remain tricky overnight with scattered debris still around from Friday's strong wind, as well as icy spots that developed from standing water refreezing as temperatures quickly dropped Friday evening. Please be extremely cautious when walking or driving overnight into early Saturday.
