A fundraising event in Melville showed off some bra designs to help raise breast cancer awareness.
Gail Massaro helped organize the fundraiser at the PSEG Long Island Outreach Council and also designed a special bra. Her design, adorned in flowers, commemorated her grandmother Rose, who died of breast cancer. "It was just a memory of all the women in my family," Massaro told News 12.
PSEG colleagues paid to vote for their favorite brassiere and raised $2,000. That money will go to three local charities.
The winning bras will go to Adelphi University's Creative Cups competition and the "Bra Ha Ha" organization, where they will be auctioned off to raise even funds.
