Police have made an arrest in the death of a New Cassel woman found in a vacant house Tuesday.
The woman's body was found on the second floor of an abandoned New Cassel home. According to witnesses, the victim was identified as Kim Fletcher, a mother of four.
Tyrone Terrell, 28, has been charged with second-degree murder in Fletcher's death. Terrell's cousin told News 12 Long Island that a confession has already been given to authorities.
The suspect's cousin says Terrell strangled Fletcher to death.
Police made the grisly discovery around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday following a 911 call. The woman's body was found under a pile of debris.
According to neighbors, the house where Fletcher was found has been vacant for three years and has a history of trouble surrounding it.
