A blood and bone marrow drive was held in Garden City today for 2-year-old Long Islander Owen Hogan, one of several drives that are being planned for the boy.

The New Hyde Park toddler suffers from severe Aplastic anemia, a bone marrow disease. Doctors say he desperately needs a transplant.

Representatives from the New York Blood Center say the testing process is a simple one. Registration takes about five minutes and a cotton swab sample is needed.
