A body was found in the water off South Shore Tuesday night.

Search crews have been scouring the water for a man who was thrown from a boat Monday morning.

Police say Jack Benjamin was intoxicated and driving a boat into a jetty at the end of Browns River Road when he slammed it.

Nelson Matteos, identified in court as Jack's childhood friend, was thrown from the boat.

The body has been taken to the county medical examiner for a positive identification, according to officials.
