A boy can be homecoming queen in the Central Islip School District.
The Board of Ed rejected establishing a policy to require only males as kings and females as queens yesterday.
The move comes after Faith Shepard, a lesbian, was elected homecoming king in October.
A local clergyman objected and wanted the Central Islip School District to mandate traditional titles.
